Ways to Give

There are many ways to contribute to IWSE to ensure our children thrive and enter school ready to learn.

In-Kind Gifts

Items needed include:

  • Diapers, sizes 3-6 (no pull-ups, please)

  • Infant formula — currently we can use:

    • Enfamil (Infant, Gentle Ease, Soy or Advance)

    • Similac Advance

  • Gently used books

  • Children’s clothing for boys and girls (sizes 2T–4T):

    • long-sleeved and short-sleeved shirts

    • Pants (sweats, jeans, and leggings)

    • Socks and mittens (no gloves please)

If you are interested in making an in-kind gift, please call Steve Vick at 847-491-9650. Please always call before bringing donations by the office. We cannot accept donations of cribs, car seats, or stuffed animals. Thank you for your understanding.

Direct Gifts of Cash

We appreciate cash gifts in any amount. All gifts are tax-deductible. Gifts can be designated to support a specific program, or can support our Annual Fund. Such unrestricted contributions go to reinforce the area of greatest need within the agency. Donations can be made online via a secure server, or mailed to the agency. Click here for a printable pledge form. IWSE is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Each year IWSE relies on the generosity of individuals to help fill the funding gap left by restricted grants and contracts of public funding.

Gifts of Stock or Securities

The transfer of appreciated gifts or securities and other financial instruments have special tax advantages. Please consult your tax advisor to find out how a charitable donation of stock can help you reach your personal financial goals. Please email Cara Strong in the Development Office for information on how to make a stock transfer.

Gifts of Real Estate

A donor and IWSE may agree upon a gift of appreciated real estate that is evaluated at market value for tax deductions. For further information about gifts of real estate, please check out our complete Gift Acceptance Policy.

Gifts of Life Insurance

A gift of life insurance is a simple way to make a significant gift to IWSE. “Whole” or “universal” life insurance often has cash value and can be donated to a charitable organization. For further information about gifts of life insurance, please check out our complete Gift Acceptance Policy.

AmazonSmile

If you make purchases from Amazon, please participate in AmazonSmile. For each eligible purchase, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price to the Infant Welfare Society of Evanston! Please bookmark the link http://smile.amazon.com/ch/36-2167753 and support us every time you shop.

Corporate Gifts

Owners and employees of closely-held corporations may contribute through their company and reduce corporate and personal taxation. Please look into your company’s giving options and consult your tax advisor to find out how a corporate gift can help you reach your personal financial goals.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations offer programs that match the contributions of their employees, directors, retirees and/or spouses of employees, directors and retirees. Don’t forget to look into your company’s options to increase the impact of your personal donation.
