Infant Welfare Society Partners with School District 69 in Skokie

A strategic partnership developed between School District 69 and IWSE to create 0–5 early childhood continuum of care. IWSE is key partner and 0–3 expert in new Skokie/Morton Grove Early Childhood Alliance involving multiple organizations and city entities committed to elevating 0–5 early childhood services.

In June 2018, IWSE received 5-year, $1.75 million contract (or $349k per year) to serve 54 Home Visiting slots in Skokie/Morton Grove. July 1, 2018 marked the start of 0–3 services in collaboration with IWSE and Skokie Morton Grove School District 69. Evanston and Skokie/Morton Grove early childhood communities came together in April 2018 for a Symposium co-sponsored by IWSE with over 120 attendees.

Future events and activities focused on 0–5 issues are in the planning stages as we develop the collaborative system of care with our Skokie/Morton Grove early education colleagues.
